Culture of Fabric was established in the United States during the extra ordinary times of 2020. In the midst of a global pandemic, civil unrest due to oppressions and maltreatment of minority people, unprecedent election processes and general undermining of our democracy. We want to make a difference in our world by providing cultural expression through the art of sewing. We are trying to bring appreciation and expression of other cultures to the sewing community. We want to provide education related to the historic textile industries and how they are managing in today's world. We want to bring less known styles and techniques to the modern sewist. We will work to accomplish these goals by providing blogs, tutorials, and videos targeted to these subjects. Please join our community and help make the world a better place one stitch at a time.
Our Mission
Culture of Fabric is an online retail store representing multiple countries' unique designs and their fabrics. We strive to inspire artists to explore modern and traditional possibilities in a community of like minded people through sharing and learning the history of fabrics. We wish to help build a community of fabric enthusiasts that is accepting of all sewists no matter their culture.
